Uncapped packages are available at different prices, and the package you select determines the amount of data allocated before the provider’s Fair Usage Policy (FUP) is applied.

Data Limits:
LTE providers may apply a monthly data threshold to an uncapped package. Although the service is advertised as “uncapped,” the provider will manage usage once the applicable FUP threshold has been reached.

Throttling / Hard Cap:
Once the applicable data threshold has been reached, the provider will reduce the internet speed. For example, a package operating at up to 50 Mbps may be reduced to a significantly lower speed, such as 1 Mbps.

Hard Cap / Hard Lock:
Depending on the provider and package, the provider may completely restrict or suspend data access once the applicable limit has been reached. In such cases, the customer may need to wait until the next billing cycle for the service to return to normal.

Reset:
Once the next billing cycle begins, the FUP allowance is reset and the service should return to the package’s normal speed, subject to the provider’s terms and network conditions.

Important:
“Uncapped” does not necessarily mean unlimited high-speed data. Each package is subject to the applicable provider’s Fair Usage Policy, which may differ depending on the package, provider and network conditions.
